03/10/2019 - Second Post


Hello again.

Continuing from last week, the random generation of planets got updated to make it a little less random and tad more structured. This has given significantly better for certain kinds of planets (Anything with land mass). Additional work needs to be done with the sprite work and the generation system.

Moving on; some basic UI stuff has been implemented to show velocity, rotation, and position of the player. It's very "programmer-art" right now, and likely will take a different form later on, but it is quite useful for not over-doing the speed. I'd like to get a map plotting system made, but I would need to figure how to generate a map first.

Finally, I started work on some of the audio for the game. At the moment the only thing I have in is the sound of the thrusters, but all of the main audio mixers have been in since last week. I'll be adding more sound effects during next week.

Sorry I didn't stream this week, got caught up with other things. I will try to stream next week.
